About Denise
I am a US American born, bilingual coach based in France, with over thirty years of business experience, more than half of which has been devoted to coaching in leadership and managerial career development, building high performance teams, change management, interpersonal communication, people & performance management and intercultural collaboration and effectiveness. As a Certified Executive and MAP coach, I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space in which you will explore what’s essential for you to create a rewarding professional experience, as well as a more satisfying personal life.
Professional Background
Denise has coached hundreds of executives and their teams throughout Europe, North and South America, the Middle East and Asia enabling operational leaders to create sustainable high performance. Prior to working with global organizations, she was a business professor in brand management, client strategy, intercultural communication, and marketing. She acquired her initial business background in the United States as Advertising Director for national magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Travel and Leisure and New York.
Philosophy and approach
Denise accompanies managers and leaders in connecting with their personal talents and team synergies to move performance higher via experiential development and coaching. She demonstrates a strong ability to adapt to the contextual needs of each of her clients regardless of their development challenges. I was at the bottom of a curve after purposefully putting my career on the back burner to focus on my family. When I felt ready to engage in the world of work again the prospect of building myself up was really daunting, I didn’t really know where to start and had very little confidence. Denise helped me realise I was capable of achieving more and walked me through defining my goals and how to set about achieving them. I found the MAP method particularly useful; it’s a gentle method that enabled me to overcome the thoughts and feelings that knocked my confidence. My limiting beliefs originated from something I had been accidentally taught through parenting or schooling or influences from the echo chamber in society in general. Mapping disentangled the memories from the feelings that were holding me back. My memory remains, but the lens through which I viewed my situation was positively altered and the feeling of my limiting beliefs were dissolved. The Map process gave me the ability to master that small voice inside that was saying ‘I can’t’ and altered it to a big voice that says ‘I can’. I’m now entering a new chapter in my life which is empowering and exciting. I'm progressing in my career again, and don’t plan on stopping. I'm proud of myself and know I will be an inspiration for my family.
